last night was a blast!
went to the alicia keys concert at the prudential center in newark with ellis, tim and adela. everything was last minute but we actually got pretty good seats. TOTALLY WORTH IT. jordin sparks and ne-yo opened for her (hmm.. i thought ne-yo was big enough that he doesn't open anymore?), and as much as i'm not really a fan, i had loads of fun.
it's amazing how good she sounds live. i don't care much for her speaking voice. but when she belts it out, SHE BELTS IT OUT. you can't not belt out along with her, despite cracking your voice or going completely off key. it's contagious.
it was hands down one of the best concerts i've been to in a while.
random thoughts:
** for a black man, ne-yo doesn't move on stage much.
** gonna listen to that karaoke tape again and see how we fared with fallin'. i'm sure we killed it. literally murdered it for that matter. haha..
** i'm DEFINITELY going back to dance.
