hope we don't crash.

walked into dylan's candy bar on 60th and 3rd last week to meet up with my cousins from la. it's their first time in nyc so we pretty much did all the usual tourist spots. this, however, was one shop i hadn't visited yet.

once we were over the sensory overload brought on by the influx of colors that greeted us upon first walking into the candy bar, tim and i talked about how the economy could possibly affect this business. with the drop in economy, will there be a decline in candy manufacturing as well? at first, it seemed like it follows that everything will decline with the economy. but i figured, candy makes people happy. people turn to food when they're stressed. heck, i know i do it too. it's unhealthy. but it's the sugar rush that helps.

which brings me to my next point.... does that mean i am in the wrong business? when all else breaks down, only the sugar will stay solid. i think i need to get into the candy business. hmm.. this, coming from the lil lady who's on a strict bland diet? haha..
