i was listening to the music's "into the night" this morning, and i almost cried hearing the lines, "i decided long ago, i was gonna be with you. but into the night we both will go and find our own way." and when the lines, "you live for the weekend, and i live for forever" came barging in through my headphones, i started thinking about this weekend, worried all over again.
but nothing i say is enough to describe how great this weekend was.
after a couple of ugly weekends, this weekend felt like a reward for putting up with all that drama. and what a reward it was.=)
smoke never tasted so sweet. revisiting the scene of the crime never felt more exciting. and expensive ferry rides never felt more worth it. we pampered ourselves. and we might be paying the price for it later on. but whatever. this weekend was much needed.
i can go on and on about how this distance keeps breaking us down. but the travel seems tiny compared to the time we spend together. as much as i wish we lived much closer to each other, or as much as it seems like we're at different points in our lives, the fact is... i'd rather have the two-and-a-half-hour ride to see you, than have that and know i can't.
yes, we do live for the weekend. because the weekends WILL last forever.=) they'll be a lifetime of stories, and hopefully we'll have a lifetime of stories more to go.
//ending cheese bit right about.... now.
on an unrelated note, i need to stop shopping. and i need to hit the gym. pictures from this weekend make me look like i'm pregnant. haha..
